2008 Timberline District Camporee - Oct. 10th - 12th
The Timberline District Fall Camporee is coming up again and we welcome you to attend this year at Peaceful Valley. People from all over our District come together and compete, meet new people, and have fun. The theme this year is “The Quest" and is going to revolve around journeys. For instance, we are going to have several Orienteering courses with prizes for those who can complete them in the quickest time. We are also going to have geocaching, a Scout Skills Obstacle Course, a treasure hunt, archery, plus many more! You will not spend your time looking for something to do.
This year, we will be serving lunch to all participants to ensure enough time is available to partake in all of the activities. We are also planning on having our traditional Patrol Cook Off, check out the Scoutmaster Packet for more info.
As always, Webelos, are invited to join us for the weekend. Webelos are encouraged to attend the Camporee and learn more about the Boy Scout experience. Webelos will camp, eat, and join in the activities with a host troop, which provides a great opportunity to see the Scouts in action.
Please join us for this fun annual event. A great time will be had by all.
2008 WEBELOS Winter Event - Save the Date
Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th at Bear Creek Lake Park
This event is designed to expose WEBELOS to the activities they will get to experience once they crossover to Boy Scouts. It will also give the WEBELOS a chance to see how various Troops are organized. It also gives Boy Scout Troops the opportunity to meet the WEBELOS and their leaders that potentially could crossover to their troop.
We will need help from Troops to help put on the activities. If your Troop is interested in sponsoring an activity, please contact Charles Mocilac by email or 303-763-6976.

Klondike was a Huge Success
Almost 400 Scouts and Scouters from 25 Troops ventured to Timberline Campground on January 18 - 20 for the 2008 Timberline Klondike. The theme this year was Survivor - Outplay, Outwit. Outscout. The Timberline District Roundtable (training for parents and leaders) meets the first Thursday of each month at 9227 W Dartmouth Place; Be sure to attend for great ideas, lots of information, and of course, FUN!!
