Welcome to the Timberline District

Recharter Is Open!!

Recharter opened on 10/01/18. In the BSA, a charter authorizes an organization to operate BSA Scouting units. It certifies the agreement between a chartered organization – an organization that agrees to utilize Scouting as a part of its service to youth– and the Boy Scouts of America, setting expectations for the quality of program to be delivered.

You can find additional information on the 2019 Recharter Renewal Page.

Scouts BSA Training

Scouts BSA Training!

If you are interested in starting an all girls troop, please consider attending one of our training sessions on November 27th and December 3rd from 7:00-8:00pm at the Frederic C. Hamilton Scout Headquarters located at 10455 W. 6th Ave, Lakewood, CO 80215.

2019 Timberline District Klondike "Day at the Beach"

The Timberline District Activities Committee invites you to take part in the 2019 Timberline District Klondike, and enjoy a “Day at the Beach". For 2019 each participant, registration will include a enamel Lapel pin with option to purchase additional pins for trading at the 2019 council camporee.

Scouts will participate in a series of fun events to test their survival skills and display their patrol spirit.

On Saturday, patrols will travel the Klondike Trail and participate in interesting and fun events requiring them to use their Scout skills, creativity and patrol teamwork. Ribbons will be awarded based on patrol performance and total points earned at the various stations along the Trail.

Winter camping is one of the most challenging of the outdoor adventures. The 2019 Klondike will provide opportunities for Scouts to test their preparation and skills, build their confidence, and possibly learn along the way to be prepared for successful camping in cold weather.

*Units registering online before February 1, 2019 will be able to select their campsite. Selection will take place at the February Timberline Roundtable on a first come - first served basis.*

Leaders Guide is available here

Every person attending must have a completed, current medical form (Part A & B) to be shown at check-in. Download the medical form here.

2019 Investment in Character

By supporting our Investment in Character campaign, you are helping build the character and future for an entire generation, serving the future of our communities, our economy, and our nation. Scouting inspires and engages youth to take charge of their own lives, providing real and hands-on experiences. You can make your contribution now to Scouting in Colorado online!

We would love to make a short 4-6 minute presentation to your unit at your Blue and Gold banquet or Court of Honor. Please contact Jesse Adcock to schedule your unit presentation.

Charter Renewal 2019

The online charter renewal system is open. Access the web portal here. Contact Steve Yexley if you have any issues. Here is a presentation on using Internet Rechartering updated October 2018.

Recruiting is Year-Round

The Timberline District would like to help ensure your Unit is successful throughout the year, by challenging you to year-round recruiting in your unit. This will not only grow the membership in your unit, but will also grow your adult leadership.

Anytime you want to invite youth to your unit meeting or activity, simply submit the Sign Up for Scouting Night Materials Request Form and the District Membership team will prepare flyers, stickers, yard signs, buddy cards, and other materials for you. We are here to help you and to ensure that every youth has the opportunity to sign up for Scouting.
