Investment in Character Presentations
Formerly Friends of Scouting
Character, values, and leadership don't just happen. The Scouting program is a Blueprint for Success. The blueprint offers a youth discovery and adventure that include teachable moments in which a child can develop skills and inner strengths. From Cub Scouts through Eagle Scout, the blueprint helps develop a better citizen with a stronger character than their non-Scout peers. A child will develop into a leader with skills in cooperation, respect or himself, and others, and a firm foundation of ethical behavior. Scouting allows the youth to build on each experiential lesson to develop life skills and timeless values. These values will carry a Scout into the future and into the responsibility of adulthood. Please sign up you unit as a gift of thanks for all that the Denver Area Counsel has offered.
Clear Channel Colorado Interview with Scout Executive John Cabeza
Timberline volunteer Darrell Luebbe recently interviewed Scout Executive John Cabeza and asked him questions regarding the scouting program. Darrell currently volunteers as the Boy Scout Roundtable commissioner for the Timberline District. This is what John Cabeza had to say.
Spring Join Nights
The Denver Area Council wants your Cub Scout Pack to help give more boys an opportunity to join the Scouting program. We are asking every unit to host a Cub Scout Join Night during April or May. We want to make sure that we invite every boy to be part of Scouting and get the opportunity to experience all Scouting has to offer.
Submit your order for flyers, posters and yard signs and contact your Timberline District staff, Drew Macbeth to help you with recruitment. The Timberline District Membership Committee, unit commissioners and district staff want to see all units have a successful recruitment and we want to be involved in the process.
